Bristol Airport (BRS)
Bristol Airport liquid rules
Bristol Airport allows liquids in containers of up to 2 litres each. You don’t need a clear plastic bag, and liquids, laptops and other electrical items stay in your bag at security. Metal drinks bottles must be empty.

Three things to do before security at Bristol
- Check every container is 2 litres or smaller — bottle size, not the amount left inside.
- Empty your metal water bottle or flask. Plastic bottles can stay full.
- Leave liquids and electronics where they are; there’s no tray of toiletries to unpack.
Carrying more than 2 litres of medicine
Liquid, aerosol or gel medicines over 2 litres must be carried separately and shown to a security officer before screening, with proof such as a prescription label or doctor’s letter.
This goes further than the other airport pages we cover: Bristol tells you to keep the medicine separate and show it before you’re screened, rather than leaving it in your bag. Allow extra time if this applies to you.
This is airport security guidance, not medical advice.

Not stated by Bristol
Bristol’s page doesn’t say whether containers you’ve filled yourself need their capacity printed on them.
