easyJet cabin bag size: under-seat bag and large cabin bag

Everyone flying easyJet can bring one small bag up to 45 × 36 × 20 cm, including wheels and handles, that fits under the seat in front. The large cabin bag — 56 × 45 × 25 cm — is only included if you add it to your booking, book Inclusive Plus or are an easyJet Plus member. Both bags can weigh up to 15 kg.

Standard fare, no large cabin bag Not included Under-seat bag only.
Large cabin bag added to booking Included Guaranteed on board.
Inclusive Plus fare Included With Inclusive Plus the large cabin bag is subject to space on board; if there is no space it goes in the hold free of charge.
easyJet Plus member Included easyJet Plus members who have not added a large cabin bag to the booking can bring one subject to space; if there is no room it goes in the hold free of charge.

The difference matters: a large cabin bag you’ve paid for is yours on board, while Inclusive Plus and easyJet Plus bags travel subject to space. Booking a large cabin bag also gives Speedy Boarding.

The seat rule that changes your allowance

If easyJet auto-allocates you an Up Front or Extra Legroom seat at check-in, your allowance is one small under-seat bag. If you’re carrying a large bag you haven’t paid for separately, check your seat before you get to the airport.

Maximum two cabin bags per person.

Check your bag against easyJet’s sizes

Bag size

Measure the outside of the bag, including wheels, handles and pockets. Any order is fine.

Leave blank if you don’t know.

If your bag doesn’t meet the rules

A bag that’s bigger than your allowance may have to go in the hold, and easyJet can charge for that at the airport. We don’t show fees because they change — check easyJet’s cabin bag page, and add the bag to your booking beforehand if you know you’ll need it.

Sports equipment on easyJet

easyJet splits sports kit into two categories: small items such as golf clubs and skis up to 20 kg, and large items such as bicycles and surfboards up to 32 kg. Sports equipment weight can’t be combined (“pooled”) with your hold luggage allowance.
