Depends on what you book
Wizz Air measures differently from the other airlines we cover. Wizz Air's size doesn't include handles or wheels, but wheels must add no more than 5 cm. So when you measure, take the size of the bag’s body first, then check how far the wheels stick out.
| Wizz Air | Ryanair | |
|---|---|---|
| Free under-seat bag | 40 × 30 × 20 cm, 10 kg | 40 × 30 × 20 cm, No numeric limit stated by Ryanair |
| Larger cabin bag | 55 × 40 × 23 cm, 10 kg — WIZZ Priority | 55 × 40 × 20 cm, 10 kg — Priority & 2 Cabin Bags |
The free bag is the same size on both, but Wizz Air puts a number on its weight. The larger bag is 3 cm deeper on Wizz Air — a case that fits Wizz Air’s trolley bag may be too deep for Ryanair.
Wizz Air says the trolley bag is only available as part of WIZZ Priority. A bag that’s bigger than your allowance may have to go in the hold for a fee. We don’t show fees because they change; see Wizz Air’s cabin baggage page for current options.
Wizz Air accepts one item of sports equipment up to 32 kg and up to 149 × 119 × 171 cm. Add it when you book, or at least 3 hours before departure in your WIZZ Profile. Space is limited on each flight, so adding it at booking is recommended. Wizz Air can’t provide packaging. Equipment not packed as required won’t be carried. Other sporting equipment needs approval — contact Wizz Air Live Chat at least 72 hours before departure.
